Students will be required to build a model of management practice that integrates content from strategic management and the context of their professional interest topic. Students may make use of management theory as well as industry research to show the interaction between the different learning outcomes. The objective of this assignment is on the one hand to learn how to build a model and on the other hand to integrate the acquired knowledge within professional management practice. Students will have the opportunity of selecting a topic of their choice. Building a model of management practice requires a full literature review and a related set of propositions. To complete this assignment, it is anticipated, but not required, that students will build on the annotated bibliography completed in the first assignment of this paper. To support the modelling the initial assignment will most likely need to be supplemented with additional literature threads regarding specific phenomena. This ‘rounding-out’ process becomes clearer as the propositions are developed and refined. The objective of this assignment is on the one hand to learn how to build a model and on the other hand to integrate the acquired knowledge within professional management practice. The specific management practice to be modeled will be related to the student’s interest area and decided through discussions with the lecturer. In addition an electronic copy of the assignment must be uploaded to Turnitin by the expected due date and time.
